I am a Nova Scotia based photographer and visual artist working across photography, painting, and hand-carved wood. I specialize in unit stills photography in the film industry, as well as commercial and creative portraiture.
I hold a BFA in Photography from NSCAD University and have been working as a professional photographer since 2008. As a member of IATSE 667, I regularly work on film and television productions while continuing to develop my personal work.
My photography is rooted in observation, atmosphere, and a sensitivity to the people and environments I’m working within. Whether on a film set or in a portrait session, I approach the work with attention to detail, collaboration, and a focus on creating images that feel natural, honest, and visually strong.
Alongside photography, I create ocean-inspired oil paintings and hand-carved wooden pieces. Each carving is individually drawn, engraved, sanded, stained, painted, and finished by hand.
I’m something of an extroverted introvert, someone who loves connecting with people but also values time for reflection and personal growth. I get excited by the little things in life, and I could never grow tired of staring at the ocean or watching the way light hits the land at the end of the day. I’m drawn to travel, making music, surfing, spending quality time with friends and family, and the moments that make me feel most alive.
I live life behind a viewfinder. If I do not have my camera in hand I guarantee I am imagining a little box to frame daily sights and happenings. I love my job and can’t imagine myself doing anything else.
